Congratulations to Clay Phillips for winning this year's pool. Later this week I will be sending emails to the winners. As we do every year, payments will be delayed while we collect the final payments. As of this update, 68 brackets are still to be paid for. We want to pay out as much as possible to the winners. If you have not yet paid, please click on PAYMENTS above and use one of our many options.

Payouts should be at least as much as they were last year. Will be increased as we collect on the remaining brackets. The top 5 to 10 spots will be the ones benefitting from the increase. There will not be much change if any to spots below 10. As of this update there are 68 brackets not yet paid for.

Welcome to the 2017 Randy Carter Memorial NCAA Basketball Pool by Razor and Dogg. This pool had been run by Randy Carter and myself since the early 2000s. Unfortunately, we lost Randy Carter in 2011 to Prostate Cancer. We also lost his beloved wife Sherry in 2013. We carry this pool on in both of their honors. A way you can honor Randy is by getting your annual wellness exams. One of our participants who has been in this pool since the inception did not want to go to the doctor himself when he was having some of the symptoms that Randy had early on. Randy talked him into going to see the doctors, and they found that he too had Prostate Cancer and they caught it in time If you have health insurance, most plans I have seen cover this with no co-payments required. Please, we want to see you next year, and the year after that, and the year after that...

The pool is now operated by Rick Rybaczek and Billy Caudle. Last year we had a record 398 total entries, paying out $3950! This year, we want to eclipse 450 entrants. Brackets will continue to be $10 per entry. Payments will be able to be made by Check, Money Order, Wells Fargo Surepay, PayPal and by Credit Card. You can also pay in person if you are able to get your money to one of us.

Prizes will be announced after number of entries are determined and we are sure we will be collecting from everyone. We will pay out roughly 1 spot for every ten entries up to a maximum of about 24 spots paid plus the traditional bottom feeder award for the person who finishes second to last. As always, all funds collected will be paid out minus $30 which is used to reimburse the pool for the cost of the great software we use to operate the pool. We do reserve the right to increase the number of spots paid if the number of entries majorly exceed our initial expectations. This decision will be at the discretion of Rick Rybaczek and Billy Caudle.
